Hardware Upgrades

Many types of OE and ICP spectrometers can be upgraded to new electronics and software.  The Labco Data Acquisition Hardware upgrade has been designed to replace the complete data acquisition electronics of your spectrometer, and also any outdated computer systems.  It comprises state-of-the-art electronics and data collection systems.  This is backed by the most up-to-date operating software, which is fast, efficient and easy to use.  The system is truly an upgrade and not an add-on.

Labco software will operate with windows XP, 98, 2000 operating systems.

Labco Upgrades are available for most brands of Optical Emission and some ICP instruments.  Standard upgrade is 24 channels, possible to increase to 32 channels. Contact us for details regarding your spectrometer make and brand.

The Labco software can sometimes be integrated directly to some spectrometer electronics. Details available upon request.

Element Channel Additions:

Extra element channels can be added to some makes and brands of spectrometers.

A quotation can be requested for this type of upgrade. (Subject to spectrometer location and brand).

Hardware includes photomultiplier tube, secondary slit, mirrors and mirror mounts. Work includes profiling of new channel(s) and installation of new channels into the software, testing of new channels and re-calibration. The amount of re-calibration work depends on the customers requirements and the amount of work they wish to do themselves, i.e. some customers prefer to do their own re-calibration work. In this case the new channels are profiled and tested. The channels are also cross-checked against some standards to prove the intensity ratio to concentration relationship is working correctly.

Installation costs will also vary depending on the available electronics and spare attenuators, etc. It is always best to contact us and discuss your needs first.
